Douglas County records should be routed by document type:
- Court case files: use the criminal court case route or contact Circuit Clerk Nathan Burton, Room 204, 401 South Center Street, Tuscola; 217-253-2352; weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Arrest, booking, jail, and sheriff reports: contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, 920 South Washington Street, Tuscola; 217-253-2913
- State criminal history and official checks: contact the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification and use CHIRP or fingerprint Access and Review as appropriate
- City police reports: ask the Tuscola, Arcola, or Villa Grove police agency that created the report
- Expungement and sealing: file eligible Douglas County matters with the Circuit Clerk in Room 204
- Registry records: use the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, then contact the police agency shown as the registering office
